Accompanied only by minimal security personnel, including Deputy Spokespersons An Gwiryung and Jeon Eunsu, President Lee visited a nearby Daegutang (codfish soup) restaurant. After finishing his meal, President Lee shook hands and took photos with local merchants and residents on his way back to the presidential office. Some citizens held out his book, "Ultimately, the People Make It Happen," and asked for his autograph.

According to the presidential office, President Lee emphasized that "the local economy must thrive for the national economy and people's livelihoods to improve," engaging in conversations with citizens and gauging the business sentiment of self-employed shop owners. The presidential office also conveyed President Lee's hope that "the passage of the supplementary budget will help improve people's lives, even if only slightly, and serve as a catalyst for economic recovery."
