The event was attended by Mayor Lee Hyunjae and 31 lifelong learning managers active throughout Hanam City. The program included capacity-building training, a celebratory performance for learners, sharing of manager activity cases, and an open dialogue with the mayor, all conducted in a warm atmosphere.
Manager Heo Soyoung (Gamillanumhaksup Village) and Manager Do Minju (Byeoljari Learning), both active in the field, shared small but meaningful changes they have experienced while performing various roles such as preparing classes, counseling learners, and providing administrative support.
The two managers stated, "Lifelong learning is not just education, but an important process that enhances quality of life," and added, "As connectors between residents and learning, we will continue to work sincerely in our roles."
Lifelong learning managers in Hanam City support the field by participating in a variety of programs, including Lifelong Learning Villages, Citizens' College, Senior Smart, and Byeoljari Learning. Their roles range from class assistance and administrative support to learner counseling and promotional activities. They contribute not only on class days but also sometimes at night or on weekends, ensuring that all citizens can enjoy the benefits of lifelong learning.
Mayor Lee Hyunjae expressed his appreciation by saying, "Each and every one of you is the main driving force behind our local learning culture. I hope this roundtable has been a valuable time for you to share your stories and regain strength. I sincerely thank you for your constant dedication to our citizens."
