Samsung SDS Ushers in the Era of 'AI Agents'...Expanding into Public and Financial Markets (Comprehensive)

Agent Services Launched for Three AI Solutions
"Advancing to the Agentic Level Where Problems Are Identified and Solved Autonomously"
From Decision-Making to Action with Generative AI 'FabriX'
Collaboration and Business Automation Solutions Now Feature Personalized AI Assistants
"Samsung SDS Is Best Positioned to Provide Enterprise AI Agent Services"

Samsung SDS is launching agent services for three AI solutions, including its generative AI platform 'FabriX', as it actively targets not only the enterprise market but also the financial and public sectors. The company plans to significantly boost client business efficiency by advancing from traditional AI agents that merely assist with existing tasks to 'agentic AI' that can independently solve problems.

At a Media Day event held on the morning of June 26 at the Jamsil headquarters, Lee Junhee, CEO of Samsung SDS, stated, "Samsung SDS, with its comprehensive expertise and understanding of language models, data, and enterprise systems, is the company best positioned to provide enterprise AI agent services," adding, "We have elevated our services to the 'agentic' level, where the AI identifies and solves problems on its own without waiting for human instructions."

On this day, Samsung SDS unveiled agent services for the following: the generative AI platform 'FabriX', the generative AI-based collaboration solution 'Brity Copilot', and the business automation solution 'Brity Automation'. CEO Lee emphasized, "By evolving our generative AI services for business, launched last year, into AI agents, Samsung SDS is pioneering the market faster than anyone else and leading the industry," and added, "We are also actively supporting the government's and public institutions' transition to AI."

Currently, Samsung SDS is applying FabriX to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's 'Pan-Government Hyper-scale AI Common Infrastructure Implementation' project and the 'National Assembly Big Data Platform Construction' project, preparing to enable AI services for civil servants across ministries and the National Assembly. Additionally, Brity Copilot will be provided as software-as-a-service (SaaS) for Onnara, the 'Intelligent Work Management Platform' used by over 300 institutions and 720,000 public officials.

First, the generative AI platform 'FabriX' is evolving into a cloud-based AI agent platform. While the original FabriX generated outputs according to user requests, the agent-equipped FabriX can now make decisions and solve problems independently.

Samsung SDS explained that by utilizing FabriX, tasks that previously required multiple people can now be efficiently handled through collaboration between agents. A key feature is the 'code conversion agent', which can convert legacy system code into new programming languages. When applied to financial clients, the code conversion agent achieved a 98.8% code conversion rate and reduced development costs by approximately 68% compared to manual conversion.

Samsung SDS is also applying FabriX to major public AI transformation (AX) projects. In September, the company plans to offer a public sector-dedicated version of FabriX on a public-private cooperative cloud platform.

Hojoon Lee, Vice President and Head of Cloud Service Business at Samsung SDS, said, "FabriX is currently the largest enterprise generative AI service platform in Korea, used by more than 70 clients across public, financial, and manufacturing sectors, with over 130,000 users," and added, "We will continue to expand the scope and ecosystem of AI agents going forward."

AI Agents in Collaboration and Business Automation Solutions..."Personalized AI Work Assistant"

AI agent features are also being added to the collaboration solution 'Brity Copilot' and the business automation solution 'Brity Automation'.

First, the 'personal agent' feature will be launched in September for Brity Copilot, which integrates generative AI into common enterprise tasks such as email, messenger, and document management. The personal agent acts as a personalized AI work assistant, autonomously performing tasks based on the user's set work objectives.

Samsung SDS supports personalized work through five sub-agents for the personal agent. The 'Interpreting Agent', launched in April, provides real-time interpretation between Korean and English for global meetings. The Interpreting Agent will expand its supported languages to seven (including Vietnamese, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, etc.) in July, and to seventeen (including French, Italian, Portuguese, etc.) in November.

Additionally, the company plans to expand services such as the 'Briefing Agent', which checks work data and notifies users of tasks; the 'Curating Agent', which recommends knowledge and reference materials needed for work situations; the 'Voice Agent', which supports voice-based task processing on the go; and the 'Answering Agent', which automatically responds to work inquiries received by the user.

'Agentic Bot' technology will be added to Brity Automation, which combines generative AI with business process automation to automate enterprise tasks, in October. With the agentic bot feature, Brity Automation can design automation processes using only natural language instructions and can independently resolve changes or errors during execution. Samsung SDS expects that utilizing the agentic bot feature can automate about 70% of business tasks.

Song Haegu, Vice President and Head of Solution Business at Samsung SDS, stated, "By adding AI agent features to Brity Copilot and Brity Automation, business process automation for enterprises will advance to the next level," and emphasized, "Within this year, we will provide concrete and effective AI agents that can be immediately applied to real business operations."

In the subsequent Q&A session, Samsung SDS cited functionality, security, and pricing as competitive advantages of its AI solutions over rivals. Vice President Song explained, "Unlike Microsoft's Copilot, which uses a flat-rate pricing model, we will launch with an active user pricing plan at about 70% of the unit price," and added, "For meeting language translation technology, 60 languages are automatically recognized as of now, and in terms of security, we provide a private SaaS environment dedicated to enterprises."
