Lifeline announced on the 26th that it has launched the 2025 mobile youth support campaign, 'Together Cheer Up.'
This campaign is funded by donations from participants of the youth suicide prevention campaign 'Together Go Walk' and is sponsored by Hanwha Life Insurance. It delivers messages of encouragement directly to young people across the country. At five schools nationwide, selected through a support story contest, Lifeline will operate a life-respect campaign. In addition, seven more schools will receive youth support items containing suicide prevention information.
At each school visit, Lifeline will operate life-respect programs that encourage youth to reflect on themselves and others, such as 'Lifeline Pharmacy' for looking into one's own heart, 'Support Message Draw' where participants can receive messages of encouragement left by campaign participants nationwide, and 'Challenge! High Five' to experience the value of connection. On-site, booklets with suicide prevention information and support rewards will also be provided.
This year, employees and financial planners (FPs) from Hanwha Life Financial Services across the country are participating as volunteers, adding further significance to the campaign.
At Gwangju Middle School, the first stop on June 19, 14 volunteers participated in operating the program booths. The campaign will continue sequentially at Hwagye Middle School, Munsan Sueok High School, Chuncheon Middle School, and Jeonju Kijeon Girls' High School.
'Together Cheer Up' is co-hosted by Lifeline, Hanwha Life Insurance, and KBS Korean Broadcasting System, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, KCRP, and Hanwha Life Financial Services. Maybelline New York, Bacchus, LG Household & Health Care, and BeCrowd are participating as sponsors to support youth.
In September, Lifeline's flagship campaign, 'Lifeline Night Walk,' a nationwide suicide prevention walkathon celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is also scheduled to take place.
