Celebrating its 15th edition this year, HNC 2025 is being held for three days from June 24 to 26 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. The exhibition covers an area of approximately 200,000 square meters, with participation from more than 2,500 companies worldwide and over 120,000 visitors. The expo showcases the latest technologies and trends from major companies across the entire health functional food industry, ranging from raw material suppliers and finished product manufacturers to global distributors and research institutions.

Having maintained its position as the No. 1 exporter of probiotics for 12 consecutive years, Cell Biotech is accelerating its efforts to target the Chinese market with its flagship K-lactic acid bacteria brand, Duolac. At this exhibition, the company is introducing "Duolac Brain Guard" and "Duolac Pyeonanhaejil Lactic Acid Bacteria" as its core products, in line with the global health trend of "Lifelong Health," and is seeking various business opportunities.

Among these, Duolac Brain Guard is a product that has proven the cognitive function improvement effects of CBT lactic acid bacteria through clinical trials conducted on subjects with suspected mild cognitive impairment (MCI) with an average age of 68.9 years. This product was first unveiled at "Vitafoods Europe 2025," held in Barcelona, Spain in May, where it attracted significant attention.

The exhibition also features a variety of seminars and forums, where academic discussions on the future of the health functional food industry and human health take place. At this event, Cell Biotech is presenting clinical results on CBT lactic acid bacteria for the theme of "Innovation in Probiotic Applications," specifically regarding chronic kidney disease (CKD) and weight management in companion animals. The research confirmed improvements in glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and reductions in uremic toxins and inflammation markers in patients with chronic kidney disease. In a study involving 41 companion dogs, an average weight reduction of 5.26% was demonstrated.

A Cell Biotech representative stated, "Cell Biotech has proven the excellence of Korean lactic acid bacteria in the global market and is actively leading the way to secure a foothold in the Chinese market, which accounts for about 14% of the global health functional food market, as part of our efforts to globalize K-lactic acid bacteria." The representative added, "Through this exhibition, we plan to expand various export channels, including not only business-to-business (B2B) but also business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions."
