VC Association and Chungbuk Province Co-host Venture Investment Roadshow to Support Regional Venture Investment Vitalization

IR Presentations by Promising Chungbuk Companies
and One-on-One Investment Consultations with Metropolitan Area VCs

The Korea Venture Capital Association (VC Association) announced on the 26th that, on the previous day, it successfully held the "Venture Investment Roadshow" at Chungbuk SB Plaza in collaboration with Chungcheongbuk-do, connecting promising companies in the Chungbuk region with venture capitalists from the Seoul metropolitan area.

The Venture Investment Roadshow is a program run by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to support the growth of promising companies in new technology sectors into global enterprises by discovering them and attracting investment. Since 2010, the VC Association has been entrusted with operating the event, which is held every year. Last year, a total of 32.2 billion KRW in investments was secured through the program.


Unlike previous years, when the event was mainly held in the Seoul metropolitan area, this year it will be held several times in regional locations, starting with Chungbuk, to vitalize local venture investment ecosystems.


On this day, 24 venture capital firms from the Seoul metropolitan area participated. Various opportunities for investment attraction were provided, including investment presentations (IR) by seven promising companies from Chungbuk and one-on-one customized investment consultations between 15 promising companies and venture capitalists.


Chungbuk Province is working to attract promising startups and investors from across the country to the region by establishing the Chungbuk Startup Fund with a scale of 100 billion KRW and continuously collaborating with related organizations in the Seoul metropolitan area, such as KDB Industrial Bank, Woori Financial Group, and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency. The VC Association also plans to continue collaborating with various local governments and related organizations to discover promising startups and attract venture investments in order to vitalize the venture investment ecosystem.


Lee Junhee, Executive Vice President of the VC Association, said, "I hope this roadshow will provide an opportunity for promising companies in Chungbuk to meet a variety of venture investors," and added, "We will continue to hold the Venture Investment Roadshow together with various local governments and related organizations to vitalize regional venture investment."
