Poster, Comic, and Photography Contest
Seoul's Gangseo-gu will hold the "2025 Gender Equality Content Contest" to promote a culture of gender equality in everyday life.
The purpose of this contest is to raise awareness of gender equality in the local community and to encourage residents to foster an atmosphere of equality in society. The contest themes include gender equality and real-life examples in schools, workplaces, homes, daily life, and media, as well as the prevention of crimes such as sexual violence, dating violence, digital sex crimes, and stalking.
The contest is divided into three categories: posters, comics, and photographs. Posters can be submitted in any format, including paintings, illustrations, or picture diaries. Comics may be submitted as webtoons with four or more panels or in painting format. Photographs must be works taken after June 16 of this year (including those taken with smartphones). However, images created using artificial intelligence (AI) are excluded from all categories.
The application period runs until July 31, and anyone can participate regardless of region. Participants may submit entries in multiple categories, but awards will be given for only one category per person. A total of 11 works will be selected for the Grand Prize, Excellence Prize, and Encouragement Prize, with a maximum prize amount of 300,000 KRW. Entries can be submitted via email or by visiting the Gender Equality Team in the Birth and Childcare Division at Gangseo-gu Office.
Jin Kyohoon, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, said, "I hope this contest will raise awareness of gender equality in the local community and serve as an opportunity to put it into practice in daily life," adding, "We look forward to the active interest and participation of our residents."
