The opening ceremony, which took place around Mokri 1gyo in Taejeon-dong, was attended by Mayor Bang Sehyun, city council members, local residents, and officials from related organizations. Citizens who visited the site expressed great anticipation and welcomed the opening of the new road.
The newly opened road has a total length of 440 meters and a width ranging from 10 to 15 meters. After its completion in May, traffic safety facilities were installed and a road inspection was conducted before it was fully opened to the public. The city expects that this road will significantly help alleviate traffic congestion and improve convenience for commuters in the Taejeon-dong area.
Mayor Bang Sehyun stated, "With the opening of this road, not only will residents' transportation convenience be greatly improved, but enhanced accessibility between regions will also create better conditions for business activities, which is expected to invigorate the local economy. We will continue to expand urban transportation infrastructure to further enhance the quality of life for our citizens."
