"Securing Custody Is the Key for the Three Major Special Prosecutors"
Park Jiwon, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea representing Haenam, Wando, and Jindo in South Jeolla Province, commented on the launch of the three major special prosecutors, stating, "The public's attention is focused on which special prosecutor will secure the custody of Yoon Geonhee (Yoon Seokyeol and Kim Geonhee) first."
On June 25, through a post on his Facebook page, Park said, "The three major special prosecutors have had a fresh start," and explained, "The special prosecutor who secures custody will be able to focus the investigation on Yoon Geonhee, and the other special prosecutors will inevitably have to cooperate."
He went on to say, "The arrest warrants for Kim Yonghyun and Yoon Seokyeol, requested by Cho Eunseok, the special prosecutor for insurrection, must be issued by the court," emphasizing, "It is only natural that the deputy leader of the insurrection be detained." He also stressed, "Since Yoon Seokyeol, the leader of the insurrection, has even refused to comply with the police summons, an arrest warrant is absolutely necessary to hand him over to the special prosecutor."
Park added, "A true Republic of Korea will be achieved through a 'golden division of labor,' where the special prosecutor handles the Yoon Geonhee corruption related to ending the insurrection, the National Assembly pursues reform legislation, and the president is responsible for diplomacy, security, and the livelihood economy."
