Miryang City in South Gyeongsang Province is accepting additional applications for 'Good Price Stores,' which contribute to local price stability by offering affordable prices and high-quality services, until July 11.
The recruitment is open to those engaged in the restaurant business and other personal service sectors currently operating within the region. Business owners who wish to apply should visit the administrative welfare center in their business's town, township, or neighborhood with an application form, business registration certificate, certificate of full payment of local taxes, and identification card. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Regional Economy Division at City Hall.
Currently, there are 45 registered Good Price Stores. The city plans to designate 5 additional stores through this recruitment, bringing the total to 50 stores that will receive support.
Stores designated as Good Price Stores will receive a designation plaque, incentives worth 850,000 KRW per year such as public utility fee support and pay-as-you-throw garbage bags, as well as various promotional benefits including listings on the city and Ministry of the Interior and Safety websites and publication in the city newsletter.
Hwang Woncheol, head of the Regional Economy Division, stated, "The designation of Good Price Stores is an important policy for stabilizing local prices and supporting the livelihoods of ordinary citizens. We ask for the active interest and participation of service industry workers."
In addition, there are various events related to Good Price Stores organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in which citizens can participate. Citizens who take part in activities such as 'Looking for Good Price Stores' and the 'Good Price Store Visit Certification Challenge' will receive a pure silver commemorative medal, and a card discount of 2,000 KRW will be offered for payments of 10,000 KRW or more.
