Fostering a Healthy and Safe Public Service Culture
Establishing a Culture of Respect, Responsibility, and Organizational Integrity
Haman County in South Gyeongsang Province conducted 'Prevention Education on Four Major Types of Violence' for all employees over two days, from June 24 to June 25, in an effort to foster a healthy and safe public service culture.
This training was organized as a legally mandated program to enhance understanding of sexual harassment, sexual violence, prostitution, and domestic violence, and to establish a culture of respect and responsibility within the organization.

The county invited Choi Eunhee, an instructor from the Korean Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education, to provide training for approximately 600 civil servants at grade 6 and below. The program covered not only the four major types of violence but also addressed recent emerging sex crimes such as deepfake and stalking offenses.
In particular, by presenting real workplace cases, the training resonated with employees and became a meaningful opportunity to encourage changes in thinking and attitudes, going beyond the simple transfer of knowledge.
A Haman County official stated, "We expect that this prevention education on the four major types of violence has further enhanced our civil servants' gender sensitivity," adding, "We will continue to play a leading role in creating a healthy workplace culture and a gender-equal society where mutual respect and consideration thrive, through ongoing training and awareness campaigns."
Haman County plans to continue its active efforts to ensure that all employees can work in a safe and respectful environment by providing regular prevention education on the four major types of violence.
