Tire mold specialist Dynamic Design announced on June 25 that its investment and local production activities in Indonesia are drawing attention from both the Indonesian government and local media.
Detikfinance, a leading Indonesian economic media outlet, reported on June 20 about a meeting in Jakarta between Dynamic Design executives (CEO Hwang Eungyeon, CFO Yang Younghak, and Indonesia branch head Baek Seungnam) and Bambang Soesatyo, Deputy Chairman of the Golkar Party and Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).
During the meeting, Dynamic Design stated, "There are still few cases of global specialized tire mold companies entering Indonesia, and we are the first tire mold manufacturing leader to establish a presence locally." The company added, "Our new Indonesian subsidiary is attracting significant attention not only from local tire manufacturers but also from nearby global tire clients."
The company further explained, "In order to secure a leading position as a tire mold supplier in the Indonesian market, it is essential to have a stable production base, as well as institutional support from the Indonesian government."
In response, Deputy Chairman Bambang Soesatyo said, "Dynamic Design's entry into Indonesia will serve as a fresh impetus for economic development," and emphasized, "The company's technology and expertise will contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesia's manufacturing industry."
He continued, "Currently, Dynamic Design's Indonesian subsidiary employs 80 local staff at the Bandung Program Center and a total of 150 at the Cirebon production plant. The company plans to hire more than 500 additional employees by 2028. I believe this will have a positive impact not only by expanding manufacturing facilities but also by creating local jobs."
He concluded by saying, "The Indonesian government will spare no effort in providing necessary support as a strategic cooperation partner," expressing his expectations for expanded synergy between the two countries.
Meanwhile, as of the first quarter of this year, Indonesia's foreign direct investment (FDI) reached 236 trillion rupiah (approximately 21 trillion won), a 15.7% increase from the previous year. The Indonesian government continues to improve the investment environment through measures such as the enactment of the Omnibus Law (Cipta Kerja) and the introduction of the OSS (Online Single Submission) system.
In line with these policy trends, Dynamic Design plans to further strengthen its production activities in Indonesia and accelerate the establishment of a global supply chain in the future.
