Gwangju Urban Corporation (President Kim Seungnam) announced on the 25th that it conducted disaster safety education for non-residential residents at the Dong-gu Deullangnallang Community Center on the 24th and distributed cooling supplies to prepare for the heatwave.

This event was organized to prevent health damage caused by summer heatwaves and to strengthen disaster response capabilities among vulnerable housing groups. It was carried out in cooperation with local welfare organizations, including the Dasiseogi Comprehensive Support Center.

During the donation ceremony, disaster safety education was provided to around 50 non-residential residents. The training covered action guidelines during heatwaves and storm disasters, emergency response methods, and prevention of heatstroke and dehydration. Afterwards, electric fans were distributed to elderly residents in vulnerable housing conditions to help them stay cool during the summer.

President Kim Seungnam stated, "Elderly non-residential residents who do not meet the minimum housing standards are especially vulnerable to heatwaves and disaster situations. We will actively support the safe and healthy daily lives of residents living in housing-vulnerable areas in cooperation with the local community."
