Anseong City to Provide Up to 30 Million KRW to Strengthen Small Manufacturers' Competitiveness

Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province will accept applications for the "2025 Small Business Self-Reliance Enhancement Project" from July 4 to July 18, 2025, to promote the innovative growth of small manufacturers and revitalize the local economy.

This project aims to strengthen the competitiveness of small manufacturers struggling due to a prolonged economic downturn. The support areas include product development, promotion, marketing and IP, improvement of the work environment, and smart manufacturing processes.

Eligible applicants are manufacturing businesses with annual sales between 8 billion and 12 billion KRW and fewer than 10 regular employees. The maximum support amount by category is as follows: 12 million KRW for product development, 3 million KRW for promotion, marketing, and IP, 10 million KRW for work environment improvement, and 30 million KRW for smart manufacturing processes.

During the evaluation process, additional points will be given to businesses that possess intellectual property rights such as patents, are located within urban small business clusters, have master craftsmen or winners of skills competitions, are women-owned businesses, or are businesses owned by people with disabilities.

A city official stated, "We hope this project will help small manufacturers overcome management crises caused by rising prices and the economic downturn," adding, "We will continue to promote various support measures to strengthen the business competitiveness of small manufacturers in the future."
