23 Promoted to Executive Director
On June 25, Samjong KPMG announced that it held a Management Committee meeting and released its "2025 Regular Partner Promotions."
In this round of partner promotions, Donghun Kim, Hakju Kim, Cheolseong Park, Jungjun Won, Donggeun Lee, Yonggi Jeon, and Yunho Jeong were promoted to Vice President.
Vice President Donghun Kim is a global tax advisory expert who brings international insight from his experience at the KPMG New York office. He has provided consulting services to domestic and multinational companies based on his deep understanding of complex tax issues both in Korea and abroad.
Vice President Hakju Kim is an expert who has handled a wide range of tax advisory services, including tax diagnostics and tax appeals. He also has expertise in tax due diligence for the environmental and renewable energy sectors. He excels at diagnosing corporate tax risks in advance and establishing optimal response strategies.
Vice President Cheolseong Park has built his expertise in the field of financial auditing and has supported International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) audits for major financial institutions. He has contributed to addressing key issues in the financial sector, such as internal accounting control systems, project finance (PF) provisioning, and responses to amendments to corporate governance laws.
Vice President Jungjun Won serves as Head of the 5th Division of the Financial Advisory Department, excelling in portfolio divestiture advisory for individual owners and private equity funds. He has led major divestiture advisory projects for companies such as TmaxSoft, Jeonju Paper, JJ Tools, Skinchunsa, and Yanolja, and is currently in charge of the advisory for the sale of Aekyung Industrial.
Vice President Donggeun Lee is an M&A (mergers and acquisitions) and financing advisory expert for large domestic corporations, private equity (PE) funds, and mid-sized companies. He has handled portfolio acquisitions, divestitures, and fundraising in industries such as environment, energy, and secondary batteries.
Vice President Yonggi Jeon has built his expertise in the audit division through accounting audits and internal control advisory services for financial institutions. He has demonstrated outstanding expertise in the establishment and conversion of IFRS for financial institutions and is also leading advisory projects for diagnosing and upgrading accounting systems in response to the digital audit environment.
Vice President Yunho Jeong leads the Management Consulting (MC) Division within the consulting department and is involved in process innovation (PI) and ERP implementation for public communications, platform industries, and new growth companies preparing for IPOs. Leveraging differentiated advisory capabilities, he is at the forefront of AI (artificial intelligence) and digital business innovation.
In addition, 23 individuals, including Seho Kim, Ikchan Kim, Jongseok Kim, Jinhyeon Kim, Hyeonil Kim, Hyeongcheon Kim, Junguk Do, Wonil Park, Seunguk Baek, Yujin Seo, Yunseok Seo, Junghyeok Seo, Insu Seol, Hyeongu Song, Geunwoo Lee, Jooyoung Lee, Chaeneung Lee, Jihoon Jang, Hyeonho Jeon, Jeonghwan Cha, Jaejun Cheon, Minseong Hong, and Gucheol Hwang, were promoted to Executive Director.
These promotions will take effect on July 1.
