Bitmax Surpasses 300 Bitcoins in Holdings... Strengthens Position as the 'Korean-style Strategy' Leader

Bitmax, leveraging a 'Korean-style strategy,' is solidifying its position as the largest listed company in South Korea holding Bitcoin, while strengthening its digital asset strategy.

On June 25, Bitmax announced that it had purchased an additional 49 Bitcoins, bringing its total holdings to over 300.

Previously, the company disclosed that it would use 90 billion KRW out of 100 billion KRW in convertible bonds (CB) for Bitcoin purchases. This latest acquisition is a strategic investment made during a period of price correction for Bitcoin.

Recently, Reuters reported that Trump Media & Technology Group, whose major shareholder is U.S. President Donald Trump, made a $2.5 billion investment in Bitcoin.

U.S.-listed company Strategy also attracted market attention by purchasing approximately $1.08 billion worth of Bitcoin in mid-June and receiving a target price of $590 per share, representing about 60% upside from the current price.

Bitcoin recently surpassed $110,000, continuing its strong upward momentum. Standard Chartered has suggested that the price of Bitcoin could reach $500,000 by 2028.

Bitmax is aligning itself with global leading companies by recognizing digital assets as core holdings and pursuing a stable, long-term holding strategy rather than seeking short-term gains.

Bitmax recently entered into a partnership with U.S. blockchain technology company Babylon Labs and plans to actively pursue a staking strategy utilizing Bitcoin. According to industry sources, Babylon Labs is developing a staking protocol for institutional Bitcoin holders, and Bitmax will be the first listed company in South Korea to participate in this network.

A Bitmax representative stated, "This additional Bitcoin purchase is a strategic decision aimed at simultaneously enhancing corporate value and integrating into the global asset market."

An industry insider commented, "It is rare to find a listed company in South Korea with such a systematic digital asset strategy as Bitmax. The company is highly regarded for its proactive market positioning and leading asset management approach."
