Israel Claims "Missiles Fired After Ceasefire Took Effect"... Iran Denies Launch (Comprehensive)

Israel Orders Strong Response

On the 24th (local time), Israel announced that it had designated Iran's continued missile attacks after the ceasefire took effect as a violation of the truce. However, Iran has denied this, resulting in conflicting views over whether the ceasefire was breached.

According to major foreign media, Israeli Defense Minister Katz stated in a press release that Iran launched missiles even after the ceasefire agreement went into effect, calling it "a complete violation of the truce." He added, "I have instructed the Israeli military to respond strongly to Iran's violation of the ceasefire by striking regime targets in the center of Tehran."

The Israeli military stated that it is conducting interception operations after detecting Iran's missile launches. Eyal Zamir, Chief of Staff of the Israeli military, said that in light of Iran's serious violation of the ceasefire, Israel will continue with military attacks.

This stance from Israel came less than three hours after the ceasefire agreement with Iran, announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, went into effect.

In contrast, Iran denied launching missiles toward Israel. Iran's semi-official ISNA news agency also reported that the news claiming Iran attacked Israel with missiles after the ceasefire took effect was false.

Previously, President Trump had announced that from midnight on the 24th (U.S. Eastern Time, 7 a.m. Israeli time), Iran would halt its attacks, Israel would stop its airstrikes at noon on the 24th, twelve hours later, and that another twelve hours after that, the war would be considered over.
