This announcement, which introduced 20 projects aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens, reflected Pocheon City's strong commitment to economic revitalization and sustainable development.

First, the Overseas Branch Support Project for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is designed to help local SMEs enter the global market. The project supports SMEs without overseas branches by providing assistance with export contracts, participation in exhibitions and consultation meetings, and logistics and customs advisory services. Target countries for entry include T?rkiye, Vietnam, and the United States.

Additionally, to improve the residential environment for SME workers in the city, the city will support dormitory rental costs for up to two employees per company, with a maximum of 300,000 KRW per person per month, for up to 10 months per year. This aims to provide a stable living environment, thereby enhancing both productivity and competitiveness for businesses.

In December last year, the city opened the Digital Trade Integrated Support Center (DEXTER) and has since been providing comprehensive support for all stages of digital trade, including the creation of digital trade content, digital promotion (marketing) and consultation, and connecting with overseas buyers, in response to the changing trade environment after COVID-19. Currently, 48 companies and 438 products are registered.

In July, the city will host the "2025 Pocheon SME Excellent Products Purchase Consultation Fair," which will serve as a platform for companies to open new sales channels. The city plans to actively support connections between local companies, public institutions, and distribution buyers.

In November, the "2025 Pocheon Job Fair" will be held to address employment difficulties among local youth and middle-aged residents. The city will support connections between outstanding local companies and job seekers, aiming to drive local economic revitalization through the creation of real jobs.

The city is actively promoting projects to stabilize the management of small business owners and restore the local economy, including providing special guarantee limits of up to 50 million KRW, loan support for small business development funds, business environment improvement, and support for delivery and courier costs.

To stimulate local consumption and revitalize local commercial districts, the city is operating the Pocheon Love Gift Certificate cashback system. A 10% benefit is provided upon recharge, and a 10% consumption support benefit is given when used, offering tangible consumption benefits that have been well received by citizens.

The city also plans to realize the value of the social economy and revitalize the local economy through various support measures, such as developing Chuseok gift sets for the local specialty brand "Pocheon Dameum," supporting seed company (social economy) startups, and providing offline sales channels for social economy enterprises (Nanum Market).

Various support projects are also being implemented to strengthen the competitiveness of the Pocheon food industry. The city supports Korean food safety management certification (HACCP), holds special sales events for holiday gift sets, and is making every effort to discover and raise awareness of outstanding local specialties.

To enhance the global competitiveness of youth who will lead Pocheon's future, the city is running the "Gyeonggi Youth Ladder Program" in partnership with Tyndale University in Canada.

In October, the city will host the "6th Pocheon Youth Festival," which will be planned and operated directly by young people. The festival will feature a variety of events, including cultural performances, commemorative events, and youth booths, to support the dreams and passions of local youth.

The city is also accelerating the establishment of a city gas supply network in connection with the fuel cell power generation project. The supply will be expanded to Yangmun 1-ri and 4-ri in Yeongjung-myeon, Idonggyo 1-ri and 2-ri in Soheul-eup, and Chogapal 1-ri, aiming to reduce citizens' energy costs and improve living convenience.

The city will also actively implement the Pocheon-style RE100 initiative to respond to the climate crisis. The city plans to expand the supply of renewable energy by distributing solar power generation facilities to energy-vulnerable areas through the "Energy Self-Reliant Village Creation Project," and to lay the foundation for citizen-participatory energy transition through RE100 implementation.

Furthermore, the city is leading the way in building a sustainable resource-circulating city by providing reusable cups for civil petitioners to limit the use of disposable products in public institutions, and by installing unmanned transparent PET bottle collection machines at major facilities, including Pocheon City Hall.

In addition, the city has established the "Pocheon City Comprehensive Odor Management Plan" and is implementing systematic odor reduction measures by inspecting and encouraging improvements at food waste processing facilities.

The city has also launched the Hanbuk Jeongmaek Unaksan Cloud Trail project in earnest. The project will install a 35-meter-long suspension bridge on the cliff section between Aegibong and Sarakibawi on Unaksan in Hwajeon-myeon, as well as an 83-meter cliff-side walkway, a 44-meter ridge staircase, and one observatory. Upon completion, it is expected to become a healing destination for both citizens and tourists.

The Taebong Neighborhood Park development project also began construction of the first phase (Community Zone) in June. Facilities such as Sudam Plaza, Sky Water Flower Playground, Pulbit Bookstore, and Sports Plaza will be built in the Community Zone (Phase 1), while the Healing Zone (Phase 2) will include a forest trail, slow path, safe school route, and parking lot.

Additionally, through the Living SOC Complex Project for residents' convenience, the city plans to build a sports center with a swimming pool, fitness center, and group exercise room (GX room), as well as a public daycare center in Taebong Neighborhood Park, enabling residents to conveniently access a variety of services in one place.

The city is also promoting the construction of a Wildfire Response Center to respond to wildfire disasters. The center will consist of an office (320 square meters), a warehouse (200 square meters), and a helicopter landing pad, with a total project cost of approximately 3.1 billion KRW. Through this, the city aims to improve the working environment for wildfire firefighters and ensure rapid response, focusing on protecting the lives and property of citizens.

Jeon Eunwoo, Director of the Economic and Environmental Bureau, stated, "We hope that these key projects in the economic and environmental sectors will become the starting point for real changes in citizens' lives," and emphasized, "We will continue to promote field-oriented communication administration together with our citizens."
