Iran Delays Ceasefire by 19 Minutes... Trump Warns "We Are in a Ceasefire, Do Not Violate It"

President Donald Trump once again urged Iran to honor the ceasefire agreement through social media, after Iran halted its attacks 19 minutes past the ceasefire time he declared for the Israel-Iran war on the 23rd (local time).

At approximately 1:08 a.m. on the 24th, President Trump posted on Truth Social, stating, "We are now in a ceasefire," and warned, "Do not violate it." He also emphasized, "The President of the United States is saying this."

According to the U.S. weekly magazine Time, which cited Iranian state media, Iran began observing the ceasefire at 12:19 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on the 24th, 19 minutes after the midnight deadline declared by President Trump. Time reported that it remains unclear whether Israel will launch retaliatory strikes.

Initially, President Trump proposed a 'three-stage end-of-war plan' consisting of the final operations by both countries, followed by a 12-hour ceasefire (suspension of attacks) by Iran, and then a 12-hour ceasefire by Israel. Israel officially stated its willingness to agree to a ceasefire on the condition that Iran halts its airstrikes.

Meanwhile, according to AFP, the Israeli side reported that four people were killed in Iranian attacks following President Trump's ceasefire announcement.
