Significance of Pioneering Export Channels for E-Mobility
Yeonggwang County in South Jeolla Province announced on June 24 that a delegation, including County Governor Jang Seil, has departed for Indonesia for a three-night, four-day visit to Bali and Gianyar City to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and participate in an export consultation meeting.
This overseas business trip was planned to overcome the limitations of the saturated domestic e-mobility market and to establish a breakthrough for the activation and development of the e-mobility industry ecosystem, which is a future strategic industry for the county.
According to the main itinerary, the signing of an MOU with the Bali government is scheduled for the morning of June 25. In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation plans to visit a local Indonesian electric two-wheeler company and the Jeonnam e-mobility A/S and cooperation support office (joint venture) to discuss entry strategies into the Indonesian market and the progress of related initiatives.
On June 26, the delegation will sign a demonstration MOU with Gianyar City in the morning to support e-mobility, and in the afternoon, sign another MOU with Sukawati Desa (an Indonesian regional council).
On the final day of the event, June 27, the Jeonnam e-mobility export consultation meeting will also be held.
Jang Seil, Governor of Yeonggwang County, stated, "This visit to Indonesia is intended to inject new vitality into the stagnant domestic e-mobility market and to gain a foothold in the promising Southeast Asian market. Building on this MOU, we will actively cooperate with relevant organizations on follow-up projects such as ODA (Official Development Assistance) and KIND (Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation) to achieve meaningful results."
