A total of over 110 companies and related organizations in the Korean medicine sector operated 207 exhibition booths. The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development presented the full-cycle achievements of Korean medicine-from research and development to quality control, productization, and industrial support-at the "Korean Medicine Exhibition and Promotion Hall."
In particular, the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development actively promoted its technical support achievements across the industry, including: the establishment of a full-cycle support system for Korean medicine; the "Smart Herbal Medicine" QR code and "Hanbang-Ae" platform, which provide information on herbal medicine distribution; improvement projects for the herbal medicine supply system; and the distribution procedures and utilization cases of the Korean Medicine Material Bank.
Additionally, the institute introduced a variety of industrial support services such as contract manufacturing of herbal preparations, non-clinical trials, quality inspections, and external decoction evaluation and certification. It also exhibited the development achievements and clinical application cases of the Korean Medicine Standard Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG), which aim to expand evidence-based Korean medicine, thereby highlighting the foundation for the scientific advancement and standardization of Korean medicine.
Visitors to the promotional booth commented, "We could see that Korean medicine is being systematically industrialized on a scientific basis," and "It was impressive to see that Korean medicine is well integrated into the modern medical system through the CPG clinical cases."
Park Taesoon, Director of the Industrial Growth Support Center, stated, "From managing the distribution of herbal medicines to developing standard clinical practice guidelines, we will continue to lead the scientific advancement and industrialization of Korean medicine through a full-cycle support system, and further strengthen our cooperative foundation with related industries."
