On this day, Special Prosecutor Min stated in a press release, "As of the 23rd, we have requested the transfer of related cases to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, the National Office of Investigation, and the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO)."

It appears that the special prosecutor team will officially take over the cases related to Mrs. Kim, which have been handled by the prosecution, the police, and the CIO, and begin full-scale preparations for the investigation.

However, the special prosecutor team clarified that it has not yet officially launched the investigation. On his way to work that day, Special Prosecutor Min told reporters, "We will need to have extensive discussions on how to proceed with the investigation while ascertaining the facts and reviewing the legal principles."

The special prosecutor team is expected to be composed of up to 205 members, including Special Prosecutor Min, four assistant special prosecutors, forty dispatched prosecutors, eighty dispatched government officials, and eighty special investigators. It is known that Special Prosecutor Min plans to organize a total of eight investigation teams, with each team assigned two cases.
