The Gwanggyo Sports Center is a multi-purpose sports facility that the city is planning to construct on a 6,155-square-meter site at 460-4 Sanghyeon-dong, Suji-gu, within Gwanggyo New Town. The center will be built with two basement levels and five above-ground floors, and is scheduled for completion in December 2029.

Previously, on June 18, the city held a resident briefing session in the meeting room of the Sanghyeon 3-dong Administrative Welfare Center to select the site for the new complex, and explained that the decision was made at that time.

Lee Sangil, Mayor of Yongin, said, "With this decision, the long-awaited Gwanggyo Sports Center project for the residents of Sanghyeon 3-dong has gained momentum. We will seek ways to shorten the construction period so that residents can use the Gwanggyo Sports Center as soon as possible."
