Jangseong County Wins Excellence Award in Carbon Neutrality Implementation Administration Evaluation

South Jeolla Province's Jangseong County announced on the 24th that it had received the Excellence Award in the "Outstanding City and County Carbon Neutrality Implementation Administration Evaluation" hosted by South Jeolla Province.

This evaluation analyzed the carbon neutrality policy achievements of 22 cities and counties in the province from January to December 2024, based on six indicators including greenhouse gas reduction and best practices in linking local resources. Jangseong County received high marks for its efforts in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the public sector, promoting eco-friendly vehicles, and advancing carbon neutrality campaigns.

The county is implementing customized environmental projects utilizing local resources, such as the "Eco School" in connection with Chukryeongsan Mountain, mobile environmental education programs, and the Jangseong Park Forest Experience Center for children. Through these action-oriented carbon neutrality policies, Jangseong County is responding to the climate crisis.
