This town hall meeting was organized as a platform for open communication, where all executives and employees could gather in one place to freely share their opinions on the company's vision, management strategies, and current issues, and to directly listen to feedback from the field. Executives and employees from the headquarters attended in person, while staff from branches across the country participated online.
Bae Hyunggeun, President of Hyundai Motor Securities, communicated openly and comfortably with employees through a candid Q&A session. During the meeting, President Bae stated, "We will continue to steadily improve our business structure through consistent and ongoing change, support our employees, and secure a healthy foundation by proactively solving problems." He called for thorough preparation in five key areas: strengthening core business competitiveness, digital innovation, becoming a game changer, proactive risk management, and enhancing employee capabilities. He also emphasized, "The only way to lead change and achieve positive results is to secure and develop the best talent," urging everyone to help advance Hyundai Motor Securities as an industry-leading company.
During the town hall meeting, a new communication format was introduced in which major keywords such as mid- to long-term vision, artificial intelligence (AI) innovation, and organizational culture were selected based on questions submitted by employees, and a Q&A session was held. There was a high level of interest from employees regarding key internal and external issues, resulting in an active exchange of questions. President Bae responded sincerely and in detail, demonstrating proactive communication. In particular, he highlighted four core elements?challenge, innovation, creativity, and execution?and stressed, "No matter how good an idea or philosophy is, an organization will not change unless it is put into action. We must build a culture that values actually trying things, even on a small scale, rather than just talking about them."
A Hyundai Motor Securities representative stated, "With this town hall meeting as a starting point, we plan to further strengthen mutual trust and communication among executives and employees," adding, "We will continue to create an organizational culture where everyone can empathize and grow together through ongoing communication programs."
Since taking office as CEO of Hyundai Motor Securities in March 2024, Bae Hyunggeun has been recognized for proving the company's growth potential by actively pursuing capital expansion through a rights offering and a strategy of profit diversification, resulting in a 106.2% year-on-year surge in operating profit in the first quarter of this year.
