KakaoBank Launches 'AI Financial Calculator'

KakaoBank has launched the 'AI Financial Calculator' powered by generative artificial intelligence (AI). The 'AI Financial Calculator' is a service that automatically fills in the required conditions and provides calculation results when customers simply ask questions in a conversational manner, as if talking to a friend.

Unlike traditional financial calculators, there is no need to manually enter every condition such as loan amount, interest rate, term, or repayment method. Customers can listen to explanations about the conditions assumed by the AI, and if they wish to make changes, they can immediately modify them through conversation and check the results.

This service also enables a variety of everyday calculations, such as international age calculation, D-Day, averages, percentages, unit conversions, and checking overseas time zones. It also provides real-time exchange rate information for major currencies, making it useful for overseas transactions or travel.

KakaoBank plans to enhance the service within the year so that it can perform two or more complex calculations simultaneously.

A KakaoBank representative stated, "We have prepared this service to help customers who struggle with complex financial calculations obtain information easily and quickly," adding, "We will continue to expand AI-based services and establish ourselves as an 'AI NATIVE BANK' that delivers a differentiated financial experience."
