On June 23, the military prosecution additionally brought Ye Inhyung, former Commander of the Republic of Korea Army Counterintelligence Command, and Moon Sangho, former Commander of the Defense Intelligence Command, to trial.
Cho Eunseok, head of the special prosecution team for insurrection, announced to the media on this day, "The military prosecution has informed the special prosecutor that today, former Commander Ye has been additionally indicted for perjury, while former Commander Moon and others have been indicted for leaking military secrets and violating the Personal Information Protection Act."

He added, "The prosecution has requested the consolidation of pleadings with the cases already on trial, as well as the issuance of additional arrest warrants, and has withdrawn its previously submitted opinion urging conditional bail."
Former Commander Ye is accused of perjury regarding the infiltration of the Central Election Management Committee by martial law forces during the Constitutional Court's impeachment trial of former President Yoon Sukyeol and during the military court trial.
Former Commander Moon and others are accused of leaking personal information and other data to external parties in connection with the 'Joint Investigation Headquarters 2nd Investigation Team,' which was planned to be established to investigate allegations of election fraud.
The military prosecution appears to have requested additional indictments and the issuance of arrest warrants, considering that the six-month detention period for the first trial of former Commander Ye and others, who were indicted on charges including participation in important insurrection-related duties, is about to expire, and that there are concerns about possible destruction of evidence if they are released upon expiration.
