Yangsan City, Gyeongnam will host the Yangsan City Choir's regular concert, "Fall in Love with Yangsan," at the Grand Performance Hall of the Yangsan Culture and Arts Center on Thursday, July 10, starting at 7:30 p.m. for 90 minutes.
This performance will begin with a grand and magnificent choral piece, "Gloria," performed by the choir and orchestra together to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Yangsan's elevation to city status in 2026. This will be followed by an original cantata, "To Yangsan," wishing for a successful Year of Visiting Yangsan.
The cantata, composed of three pieces?"Sunrise of Cheonseongsan," "Spring in Yangsan," and "Yangsan Arirang"?features a collaboration with a Samulnori percussion group, expressing harmony between East and West and conveying a message of hope.
Next, soprano Kang Hyejeong and tenor Lee Beomju will perform "Magnolia," "River in My Heart," and "Libiamo ne' lieti calici," adding elegance to the concert with their beautiful vocals. The finale will feature choral and dance performances with lively arrangements of popular songs and musical numbers, allowing all audience members to enjoy the show together and fully experience the charm of Yangsan.
A Yangsan City official stated, "Under the theme of 'Fall in Love with Yangsan,' this concert will present a special stage that harmoniously showcases a variety of musical genres, including original compositions, and fully demonstrates the capabilities of our Yangsan City Choir. We hope many Yangsan citizens will attend, enjoy the performance together, and create precious memories."
This concert is free for all attendees aged seven and older, with a maximum of two tickets per person. Tickets can be reserved on the Yangsan Culture and Arts Center website starting Tuesday, June 19.
