Achievements Including 660,000 Dollars in On-Site Contracts
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 23rd that a total of 439 K-beauty companies participated in the '2025 Cosmo Beauty Seoul X K-Beauty Festa' held last month, resulting in export consultations amounting to 110 million dollars. Of this, export contracts worth 660,000 dollars were signed on-site, and contracts worth 2.46 million dollars are expected to be concluded within this year.
This exhibition, held over three days from May 28 to May 30, attracted 53,000 visitors, an increase of about 5,000 compared to last year. During the event, a record 1,903 B2B (business-to-business) consultations were conducted, which is 1,001 more than last year, making it the largest event to date.
In particular, this year, 161 overseas buyers from 51 countries, including 27 global major buyers, were invited. To promote exports and overseas expansion of domestic K-beauty SMEs, B2B consultations were supported through pre-matching with overseas buyers.
Looking at outstanding cases among individual participating companies: Farms BnB exhibited four types of basic and functional cosmetics at the expo and sold out on-site. Shindo PNG succeeded in exporting a new cosmetics brand by utilizing the distribution infrastructure of a Vietnamese buyer. Hanamoa received a business proposal from Japan's Don Quijote after export consultations and is in follow-up discussions; if the products are listed, export contracts worth up to 1 million dollars are expected.
Lee Soonbae, Director General for Global Growth Policy, stated, "This exhibition was able to achieve tangible results through public-private collaboration, expanding visits from promising overseas buyers and improving the quality of participating products." He added, "Despite the rapidly changing external environment such as the strengthening of global protectionism, we will further strengthen customized support such as technology development and ESG management assistance to ensure the continued expansion of the K-beauty ecosystem."
