BNK Busan Bank Holds Art Exhibitions Showcasing Traditional Heritage and Contemporary Sensibility

BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) announced on June 23 that it is holding a series of exhibitions at the "BNK Busan Bank Gallery" located in Sinchang-dong, where visitors can enjoy both traditional art and contemporary sensibilities.

Until June 22, the gallery hosted the "12th Traditional Culture Local Masterpieces Exhibition," organized by the Busan branch of the Korea Association of Master Craftsmen. The exhibition aimed to promote the succession and development of traditional skills and arts.

At this exhibition, visitors could appreciate the beauty and value of traditional culture through artworks by master craftsmen from the Busan branch, including Hwahye (traditional Korean leather shoes), Jiseung crafts (paper-twisted crafts made from Hanji), Najeonchilgi (mother-of-pearl lacquerware), and traditional Hanbok.

From June 24 to 30, the gallery will host the 7th exhibition titled "Dessert," organized by the Busan branch of the Korea Apparel Technology Promotion Association.

This exhibition features works inspired by the global bakery boom and the snack culture of the MZ generation, sensibly and delicately expressed using the spring 2025 trend colors. Through a variety of dessert-themed artworks, the exhibition aims to offer visitors moments of comfort and relaxation amid their busy daily lives.

Kim Yongkyu, Head of the Management Strategy Group at Busan Bank, said, "We hope this exhibition will be a valuable time that conveys the value and inspiration of art to both local residents and artists."

Since opening the BNK Busan Bank Gallery in 2011, Busan Bank has supported more than 340 exhibitions by providing free venue rentals and offering high-quality exhibition opportunities through dedicated curators.
