Special Safety Inspection During the Peak Heat Season
Park Hyuncheol, Vice Chairman of Lotte Construction, visited a construction site in person during a heatwave to encourage approximately 300 workers.
On June 19, as part of Lotte Construction's in-house campaign to prevent heat-related illnesses during the peak summer season, called 'ICE BOMB,' Vice Chairman Park visited the construction site of the 'Time Villas Suseong' complex shopping mall in Suseong-gu, Daegu. There, he distributed ice cream, ion drinks, and cooling sleeves to workers, and checked on the management of worker health in preparation for the heatwave. He also inspected the safety management measures in place for the rainy season.

Lotte Construction has designated the period from June to September as a 'focused health management period' in accordance with the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'Five Basic Heatwave Safety Rules,' and is operating a heatwave response system at all sites.
At the sites, cold water, salt tablets, and cooling equipment are provided, and rest areas equipped with air conditioning and shaded canopies have been set up. If the perceived temperature exceeds 31 degrees Celsius, work hours are adjusted, and if it exceeds 33 degrees, a 20-minute break is given every two hours. When the temperature goes above 35 degrees, high-intensity outdoor work is restricted.
A Lotte Construction representative stated, "The health and safety of our workers, who do their best to protect the site even in hot weather, is our top priority. We will continue to create a safe and comfortable environment where everyone can work with peace of mind."
