Since Representative Jung Chungrae announced his candidacy for party leader on June 15, there is now a high possibility that the upcoming party leadership election will become a two-way race between pro-Lee Jaemyung factions.
Meanwhile, on June 21, Park wrote on Facebook, "The Democratic Party is at its strongest when it is united," and added, "I ask that attacks or criticism directed internally be stopped." He further stated, "Just as we established the Lee Jaemyung administration with a solid 'one team' Democratic Party, we must become even stronger and more cohesive to stably support the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration."
Park emphasized, "The saying 'Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep' is both my life motto and the essence of my politics," and urged, "Let us move forward as the ruling Democratic Party, wishing only for the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration as a stable one team."
