The Bereaved Families Association of the Jeju Air Passenger Plane Disaster at Muan Airport held a press conference on the second floor of Muan International Airport on this day, stating, "For a fair and thorough investigation, the ARAIB must secure independence from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and disclose information such as engine damage areas and black box records to the bereaved families."

The association pointed out, "Regarding the crash of the Air India 787-8 Dreamliner that occurred on the 13th, the Indian government announced that it would release an accident cause report within three months of the disaster. In contrast, the ARAIB has been criticized for self-investigation and has still not provided proper information to the bereaved families."

They further emphasized, "In Indonesia and Ethiopia as well, failing to disclose Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) data in preliminary reports is an act of disregarding the bereaved families and concealing the truth."

They added, "To ensure a thorough investigation, please guarantee the right of participation so that investigation board members recommended by the bereaved families can express their opinions. By uncovering the truth behind the deaths of the 179 victims of this disaster, those responsible must be held accountable and measures to prevent recurrence must be implemented."
