According to the military life management platform "Goondori" on June 19, V received 4.67 million letters, marking the highest number ever recorded since the service began. On average, he received about 8,500 letters per day until his discharge.
Since Goondori launched its service in 2018, no individual had ever surpassed 3 million letters before.
V enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the Army in December 2023 and served in the 2nd Corps Military Police Special Task Force. He was discharged on the 10th.
V shared his thoughts on discharge, saying, "After coming to the military, I had the chance to reflect on and strengthen both my body and mind. I have renewed myself physically and mentally, and I want to run to ARMY (the fandom name) as soon as possible. I sincerely thank all the ARMY who waited for me during my service."
Meanwhile, all seven BTS members have completed their military service and returned as a complete group for the first time in about three years. On June 13, the 12th anniversary of their debut, a fan experience event and J-Hope's solo performance were held in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, where around 100,000 domestic and international ARMY gathered to celebrate their return.
