Demo Event for "Lost Ark Mobile"
Get Hints from AI Assistant "Heririk"
Personalize Your Own Space "My Room" with AI
The hit title "Lost Ark," which has surpassed 60 million cumulative global subscribers, has returned as a mobile game, preserving its intense action while making it accessible for everyone to enjoy. A key feature is the seamless integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into gameplay, allowing players to receive assistance during battles or customize their characters using AI functionalities.
On June 19, Smilegate RPG hosted a hands-on event for the MMORPG "Lost Ark Mobile" at the Parnas Hotel in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Users selected through pre-registration can attend the demo event, which runs for two days from June 19 to 20.

Lost Ark Mobile is characterized by the incorporation of AI throughout the game. The AI assistant "Heririk" is a prime example. When a player loses a battle, Heririk analyzes the gameplay to identify reasons for defeat, and provides hints when players are stuck, helping beginners who are not yet familiar with the controls. Reflecting the trend of more users preferring solo play over group battles, the game also introduces "AI mercenaries." Players can issue necessary commands to AI mercenaries via voice input during battles. If a player dies in combat, the "AI guide system" becomes useful by replaying the player's actions at the time of death and analyzing the enemy's attack patterns.
There are also AI-powered features for activities such as "character customization" and "interacting with non-player characters (NPCs)." At the demo event, players could experience "My Room," a space that can be personalized and decorated. In My Room, AI can be used to design wallpaper or character costumes; for example, entering "lovely princess-style wallpaper" instantly generated a medieval royal pattern. With the "Vision Toy" feature, AI creates decorative elements in My Room based on photos provided by the player. Friends and NPCs can be invited to My Room. NPCs now offer not only real-time conversations but also interactive features that allow players to build rapport with them.
While delivering action on par with the original, the game significantly reduces player fatigue through various battle assistance systems. Due to the nature of mobile games, auto-battle is implemented, allowing players to easily handle standard enemy encounters automatically. To prevent monotony, boss fights require manual control, and players must dodge powerful attacks to win. Additional battle assistance features include "smart evasion," which helps players move to safe zones to avoid enemy attacks, and "smart battle items," which suggest appropriate items for the combat situation.
Director Lee Junghwan, who oversaw the game development, is introducing "Lost Ark Mobile" during a live broadcast on the evening of the 18th. Smilegate RPG
Director Lee Junghwan, who oversaw the game's development, said during a live broadcast on the evening of June 18, "If the game were simple and easy to conquer, it wouldn't be fun," and added, "Our goal is to provide an experience where players can naturally learn the game and enjoy it like experts through AI-powered game guides and a variety of battle assistance systems." He continued, "For experienced players, we also plan to offer difficulty levels that will inspire a sense of challenge."
After verifying key content such as combat, action, and controls through the demo event, Smilegate will conduct a closed beta test (CBT) in October to evaluate fun, progression, and server stability. Although Smilegate did not announce a specific release date for Lost Ark Mobile during the live broadcast on June 18, the gaming industry expects the launch to take place next year.
