Heeyoung Yang, who is aiming for back-to-back victories at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, the third major tournament of the LPGA Tour season, hosted a dinner with past champions on the 18th (local time), one day before the tournament began. As the defending champion, she served sundubu-jjigae and gimbap. Yang said, "I was worried because the chef in charge was Japanese, so I wondered if he could make Korean food well, but fortunately, it turned out great." She added, "The players really liked the gimbap, but for me, the sundubu-jjigae was the most memorable," she said with a smile.

Yang expressed her anticipation for defending her title. "I'm really happy to be back at this tournament," Yang said. "Especially as the tournament gets closer, I feel even more excited. My team and I have worked hard to prepare." Last year, she achieved her first major victory at this tournament at the age of 34, in her 75th major appearance.

She explained, "Because it took me so long to win a major, it felt even more valuable and special." She added, "Last year's win taught me that dreams and goals can be achieved if you work hard." After finishing the third round last year, Yang confessed, "I was anxious, wondering if it wouldn't happen again this time." She continued, "Before the final round, I tried to relax by talking to my family and friends at night. And I told myself, 'Tomorrow, focus on each hole and each shot, and embrace every moment.'"
