Special Safety Training Conducted for Over 200 Employees This Week
Hands-on Training on Emergency Exit Operation and In-Flight Evacuation
Air Busan is tightening its focus on 'safety management' by conducting special aviation safety training for all employees to strengthen their ability to respond to in-flight emergencies.
On June 19, Air Busan (CEO Jung Byungsub) conducted emergency response training for approximately 200 employees to enhance safety capabilities company-wide.
This training was carried out over about two weeks starting in early June, with a particular focus on general office staff who typically have fewer opportunities to interact with aircraft.
The training took place at Air Busan's headquarters training facility, led by professional instructors who are former cabin crew members. The curriculum was practice-oriented and simulated real-life situations. The main programs included opening and operating emergency exits, responding to various in-flight evacuation scenarios, and experiencing the emergency evacuation slide, all designed to enhance practical skills.
An Air Busan representative stated, "Aviation safety is the top priority that all employees must share, regardless of their job position," and added, "This special training goes beyond a simple exercise; it will serve as an opportunity to systematize and internalize a company-wide safety culture."
Since 2023, Air Busan has been giving priority seating near emergency exits to safety personnel such as firefighters, police officers, military personnel, and airline staff in accordance with Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport guidelines. The company is also continuously expanding programs aimed at strengthening practical crisis response capabilities.
