Support of 250,000 Won per Year for Cultural Activities and Self-Development
Even Last Year's Recipients Must Reapply
Damyang County in Jeonnam Province (Governor Jung Chulwon) announced on June 18 that applications for the 'Jeonnam Youth Culture Welfare Card Support Program,' which supports young people's cultural activities and self-development, will close on June 30. The county encouraged many local youths to apply.
The 'Jeonnam Youth Culture Welfare Card' can be applied for online through the Nonghyup Card website or in person at the local Eup or Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers. Even those who received support last year must reapply this year to receive the subsidy, so special attention is required.
Eligible applicants are youths aged 19 to 28 who have been registered residents of Damyang for at least two years as of the announcement date. Each person will receive 250,000 won per year. However, public institution employees, recipients of the out-of-school youth allowance, and beneficiaries of the Women Farmers' Happiness Voucher are excluded. For those eligible for the Munhwa Nuri Card, only the difference of 110,000 won will be provided.
The subsidy can be used within Jeonnam Province throughout the year, and eligible items include attending performances or movies, enrolling in academies, and purchasing books. Detailed information on where the card can be used is available in the notices on the Damyang County website.
A county official stated, "We hope many young people will apply so they can enhance their quality of life and gain opportunities for self-development through culture and leisure," adding, "We will continue to promote customized support policies for local youth in the future."
