The confirmation hearing for Prime Minister nominee Minseok Kim will be held over two days, from June 24 to June 25.
On June 17, Lee Jongbae, a member of the People Power Party and chair of the Special Committee on the Confirmation Hearing for the Prime Minister Nominee, along with committee secretaries Kim Hyun of the Democratic Party of Korea and Bae Junyoung of the People Power Party, reached this agreement during a meeting.
The ruling and opposition parties have agreed to convene the first meeting of the special committee for Minseok Kim's confirmation hearing on the afternoon of June 18, during which they will appoint the committee chair and secretaries from both parties, and approve the hearing implementation plan as well as the list of witnesses and reference persons.

The final list of witnesses and reference persons is expected to be confirmed by the morning of the first meeting, following additional discussions between the secretaries.
According to the National Assembly Act on Confirmation Hearings, the review or confirmation hearing process must be completed within 20 days from the date the request for a confirmation hearing is received. The confirmation hearing itself must be concluded within 15 days from the date the request is referred to the relevant committee.
President Lee Jaemyung submitted the request for a confirmation hearing to the National Assembly on June 10. The confirmation hearing must be completed by June 25, and the National Assembly's review must be finished by June 29.
