Dongsin University announced on the 16th that it recently conducted a "Korean Language Education Program" for foreign seasonal workers at the auditorium of Jeonnam Naju Pear Horticultural Cooperative.


This program was provided to approximately 40 Filipino seasonal workers affiliated with the Naju Pear Horticultural Cooperative. The curriculum was tailored to include practical agricultural work terminology needed for their jobs, basic Korean conversation, and understanding of Korean life and culture.


The program was organized by Korea Rural Community Corporation and implemented by the Naju Pear Horticultural Cooperative. Dongsin University plans to continue expanding Korean language education for foreign workers in the region by collaborating with various organizations, including Korea Rural Community Corporation, in order to help break down language barriers.


Noh Byungho, head of the Department of International Korean Language at Dongsin University, said, "I am pleased that we can help improve communication skills and enhance work efficiency for seasonal agricultural workers." He added, "We will continue to offer a variety of programs to improve the living conditions of foreign workers in the region and to promote a positive perception of Korea."
