Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) announced on June 16 that Park Seeun, a member of its women's archery team, won the bronze medal in the recurve general mixed team event at the 36th Korea Business Archery Federation President's Cup, held at Okcheon Public Stadium in Chungbuk from June 9 to 14.
This tournament featured 28 athletes from 14 regional teams across the country. Park Seeun teamed up with Kim Hajun from Sasang District Office to form the Busan mixed team. The two athletes, whose teamwork had already been proven by winning the gold medal together at the 105th National Sports Festival last year, once again demonstrated outstanding skills in this competition.
The Busan mixed team defeated Gyeongnam in the first round and then secured a dramatic victory over Ulsan in a shoot-off in the second round, with Park Seeun hitting the X10, the center of the target, to advance to the semifinals. Although they narrowly lost to the Gyeonggi team in the semifinals, they shared third place with Chungnam and claimed the bronze medal.
Park Seeun said, "Since I competed again as a team with Kim Hajun, with whom I won the gold medal at last year's National Sports Festival, our trust in each other was strong, and that trust became a great strength at crucial moments, leading to this valuable result."
Shin Changho, President of Busan Urban Corporation, stated, "I sincerely congratulate Park Seeun on her excellent achievement, and I will continue to provide unwavering support to the archery team and work for the development of the local sports culture."
