Such as Hand Washing"

Although the domestic COVID-19 situation remains under stable control, there is a possibility of a summer outbreak, considering the increase in cases in neighboring countries and the patterns of previous years.
According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, the number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in domestic hospital-level medical institutions (sentinel surveillance institutions) was 105 in week 22, a slight increase from 98 in week 21, and has remained at a similar level over the past four weeks.
When traveling to countries experiencing COVID-19 outbreaks, it is essential to follow infectious disease prevention guidelines and to report any suspicious symptoms to quarantine officers upon entry. In addition, to prevent domestic transmission and outbreaks, it is important to follow respiratory infectious disease prevention measures in daily life, such as washing hands, practicing proper cough etiquette, and wearing masks in crowded places.
In particular, COVID-19 vaccination for high-risk groups for the '24?25 season' has been extended until June 30. High-risk individuals, including seniors aged 65 and older, immunocompromised persons, and residents or inpatients of infection-prone facilities who have not yet been vaccinated, are encouraged to receive the vaccine at designated medical institutions, as this will help prevent COVID-19.
Mayor Choi Kyungshik said, "Please follow respiratory prevention guidelines, and I hope that high-risk groups will prevent COVID-19 infection and severe illness or death by getting vaccinated."
