The Korea Financial Investment Association announced on June 16 that the 'New Portfolio Korea (NPK) Delegation of the Korean Asset Management Industry,' composed of CEOs from 19 asset management companies, will visit Denmark and Finland from June 14 to June 22.

The visit is organized to gain insights into the latest trends in the renewable energy, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio ecosystems of Denmark and Finland, as well as to explore new investment opportunities. The itinerary includes meetings with a total of 15 organizations, such as major financial institutions, leading industrial companies, and startup support agencies.

In the renewable energy sector, including solar power, the delegation will visit companies such as Orsted and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) in Denmark, and Ilmatar in Finland. In the hydrogen and fuel cell sector, they will visit Convion and VTT in Finland. The delegation plans to examine the latest investment trends and technological developments in the Nordic renewable energy market.

In the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio sectors, the delegation will visit organizations such as the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) and Healthcare Denmark in Denmark, as well as Vertical and Health Incubator Helsinki in Finland, to observe industry ecosystem trends and startup developments. They will also seek promising investment areas and explore possibilities for collaboration.

Seo Yuseok, Chairman of the Korea Financial Investment Association, stated, "As interest in the renewable energy, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio industries has recently increased in the domestic asset management industry, this visit to major Nordic institutions will allow us to directly observe advanced investment cases and the current state of innovative ecosystems." He added, "We expect to discover sustainable investment strategies and new growth engines that can be applied to the Korean market."

He also emphasized, "Furthermore, by strengthening our cooperation network with global institutions, we hope to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness and establishing a foundation for sustainable growth in the domestic asset management industry."
