The TCR World Tour is a 'customer racing' competition, where manufacturers are prohibited from participating directly, and only professional racing teams that have purchased race cars from manufacturers are eligible to compete. As the top global competition utilizing TCR race cars, it operates by determining rankings based on the results of races held at regional TCR events around the world.
Up to 650 drivers are currently participating in as many as 40 TCR series. The TCR World Tour, the highest-level global competition, will feature a total of eight rounds this year, with races scheduled to take place in Italy, Portugal, Australia, Korea, China, and Macau.
Hyundai plans to pursue a season victory with Norbert Michelisz, who achieved overall victory in the TCR World Tour drivers' category for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024, 2022 champion Mikel Azcona, and Nestor Girolami, who joined the team last year.
Nestor Girolami, racing in The New Elantra N TCR, won the second final race held on the 15th by crossing the finish line first. During this event, he earned a total of 68 points, placing him 6th in the 2025 season drivers' standings.
