Popular Content Like "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" Available in Real Time
Naver Chzzzyzik is set to significantly expand its streaming domain by offering real-time broadcast content.
According to industry sources on June 15, Chzzzyzik has begun live streaming dramas and variety shows in partnership with JTBC starting this month. This marks the first time the service, previously focused on broadcast content, has expanded into real-time broadcasting.
Users can watch popular content such as "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" and "Good Boy" at their scheduled broadcast times using the "Watch Together" feature.
Chzzzyzik has been diversifying its structure, which was previously centered on individual broadcasts. Recently, it has offered 24-hour streaming of MBC variety content and has also broadcast Major League Baseball (MLB) games through "Prime Content," a paid service in collaboration with SPOTV.
According to Mobile Index by IGAWorks, the cumulative viewing time for "Watch Together" last month reached 35.68 million hours. In May, the monthly active users (MAU) totaled 2.58 million, maintaining the top position by surpassing competitor SOOP (2.32 million) by 260,000 users.
