Honam University announced on the 14th that Son Wani, director of the Confucius Academy, has been participating in the "2025 Confucius Academy Foreign Directors Training in China," hosted by the China International Chinese Education Foundation and held in Chongqing, China, since the 9th.

This training, which runs until the 17th, has brought together more than 30 foreign directors of Confucius Academies from 26 countries across five continents: Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Oceania.

The training program consists of special lectures and discussions covering a variety of topics, including the latest trends in international Chinese language education and innovative development directions for Confucius Academies, as well as cultural experiences and university site visits.

During the training, Son gave a presentation on the theme "A Bridge for Korea-China Cultural Exchange, Connecting Friendship," sharing his experiences and achievements in operating the Confucius Academy.

Son stated, "Chongqing, the city of mountains and rivers, is a place where nature and the city are harmoniously integrated, and where culture and education are organically connected. By discussing development strategies for international Chinese language education with directors of Confucius Academies from various countries, I was able to gain a great deal of inspiration."
