The donation ceremony was held on the 11th at the KB Securities headquarters in Yeouido, with key figures in attendance, including KB Securities CEO Sunghyun Kim, Buan County Governor Ikhyun Kwon from Jeollabuk-do, and World Vision Sharing Business Division Director Yunchul Na.
"Kkebi's Hope Bay, One-Pyeong Life Mudflat" is a "One Person, One Pyeong Mudflat Ownership Campaign" aimed at preserving the marine ecosystem and promoting a sustainable environment. In May, a total of 200 KB Securities employees and their family members voluntarily participated in the project, receiving a positive response. The process of registering ownership shares for one pyeong of mudflat purchased by each participant is currently underway in sequence.
On the 21st, approximately 100 employees and their family members will visit the mudflats in Buan, Jeollabuk-do, to participate in ecological experiences and local exploration. Through this activity, participants plan to experience firsthand the importance of biodiversity and the value of marine conservation.
Sunghyun Kim, CEO of KB Securities, stated, "This project is significant in that it goes beyond simple donation, as employees directly participated and put it into practice, thereby internalizing the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management philosophy and spreading it as part of our organizational culture. Through this campaign, I hope employees will truly appreciate the importance of ecosystem conservation and recognize it as a sustainable investment for the next generation."
Based on this experience, KB Securities plans to continuously expand various ESG programs to foster a culture in which employees voluntarily consider and act on environmental issues.
