Goryeong County (Governor Lee Namcheol) is participating in the '2025 Premium Daegu Gyeongbuk Expo,' which is being held at Daegu EXCO until June 14, to actively promote the county's historical, cultural, and tourism resources that have been officially recognized through World Heritage inscription and designation as the Daegaya Ancient Capital.

At this expo, Goryeong County is introducing major tourist attractions such as the World Heritage-designated Jisan-dong Tumuli, the 'Daegaya Forest of Light' (Daegaya Arboretum), which will soon reopen after summer renovations, and the Dasan Ginkgo Forest. The county also plans to highlight key policy initiatives, including the designation of Daegaya as an ancient capital.
In addition, Goryeong County is exhibiting its locally developed 'Gayageum Craft Beer' and regional specialties. Through a roulette event, the county will offer a variety of souvenirs to visitors, including character merchandise featuring the county mascot 'Gayadori' and the tourism ambassador 'GoGo String Band.'
A county official stated, "We aim to widely promote the diverse content of Goryeong, a historical and cultural tourism destination that is attractive both day and night, through this expo." The official also asked for special interest in Goryeong's unique Gayaculture content, such as the 'National Heritage Media Art' event, which will showcase immersive media art at the Jisan-dong Tumuli this fall.
