Enhancing Administrative Adaptability and Practical Skills
Through Intensive Two-Day Training
Sangju City in Gyeongbuk announced on June 13 that it conducted the "2025 New Public Officials Job Competency Enhancement Training" at the Dong-A Socio Holdings Human Resources Development Center over two days, from June 12 to June 13.
This training was provided for 59 newly appointed public officials who have been hired since July 2023. The city organized this program not only to cultivate the basic qualities required of public servants, but also to enhance job competency and organizational adaptability needed for practical work at an early stage.
The training curriculum included basic education on public service ethics and attitude, as well as practical lectures by external experts on topics such as official document writing, communication skills improvement, and burnout prevention. In addition, a team-building program was operated to improve teamwork, contributing to strengthening communication and collaboration skills among new public officials.
Kang Youngseok, Mayor of Sangju, said, "I hope this training will help new public officials who are beginning their public service careers quickly adapt to the Sangju administrative organization and foster a sense of belonging," adding, "I expect that those of you with diverse perspectives and potential will become the driving force that brightens the future of Sangju."
Sangju City plans to continue actively supporting the growth of new public officials, who are the future leaders of administration, through ongoing job training and competency enhancement programs.
