Crashed Shortly After Takeoff
Bloomberg News reported that an Air India passenger plane carrying 242 people crashed near Ahmedabad Airport in northwestern India shortly after takeoff on June 12.
According to Bloomberg News and other sources, a Boeing 787 aircraft operated by Indian airline Air India crashed while en route from Ahmedabad, India to London Gatwick Airport in the United Kingdom.
The flight reportedly crashed shortly after takeoff. Indian news agency ANI stated that there were a total of 242 people on board, including both passengers and crew members.
Videos posted on social networking services (SNS) captured scenes of black smoke rising in the distance.
